Hailstorm sulked through the forest. He had just left his brother and that warrior with the two annoyingly bouncy apprentices. He let his paws take him to the boundry between Shadowclan and Thunderclan. He gazed across the Thunderpath and looked into the forest that held the vile cats of Thunderclan. Half of his blood ran through that forest and it made him want to vomit. He could not stand their stench. It was acrid. He wished to wipe Thunderclan off of the forest. They were bile on his fur that he wished to wipe clean. They didn't even know what he was planning, but they would soon. Everyone would know, and he would laugh in triumph. He would hurt the heart of that clan. What was the heart? Why the one that keeps the clan together. Through sickness and health. The medicine cat would receive the punishment for the entire clan. It would definately hurt them. His tail began to curl with amusement. He could see it now. The medicine cat of the wonderful Thunderclan gives birth, but not only birthing kits but half-clan kits. Shadowclan blood would now run through Thunderclan as well. They would no longer be able to call themselves pure and look down on Shadowclan. He would have revenge after how his Thunderclan father left his mother, him and Stonestar. The whole forest would know now and he felt nothing but pure rage. After this was finished he knew that he would be banished from the clan by his dear brother, the so called leader of Shadowclan. He spat in disgust. He would be glad to be free of the clan. He would leave this whole forest all together perhaps even. There would be nothing left after his plan was succeeded. That was the only reason he still remained in this horrible forest. Shadowclan would be blamed all together for this horrible incident. Stonestar would receive most of the blame becuase it was his clan in the first place. Hailstorm stared all the way through the forest as if he were looking into the heart of the clan. "Sunstream!", he whispered maliciously, "I'm waiting. I am waiting for you, and you alone." He sat there on the border lost in his thoughts. He would wait, patiently, for her to arrive. It was meant to be.

The small golden she-cat delicately padded across the Thunderpath, sniffing around the damp parts. "Come on Coltsfoot, where are you?" She muttered. Her Clan was in good paws, no doubt, but the Medicine Cat still felt anxious leaving her Clan with the two ShadowClan apprentices. Sunstream's small paws dug around, searching for the herbs. New-Leaf was here, which meant definitely new herbs. That was good for the Clan, even though Sunstream hated getting wet. [/sup]

Rumor watched the young medicine cat pad through her territory. He had just come up from the tunnel that led under the thunderpath between the two clans. It was time. He would confront her tonight. He would confront her now. He stepped out from behind a bush and stepped in her path. "Hello Sunstream. I have been waiting for you for some time. You sure do take a long time of coming out here alone. You are a tough one to get alone. Thunderclan definately protects their medicine cat. It is ofcourse the heart of the clan, and it would kill them if anything ever happened to you...but hard times always strike the most innocent don't they sunstream. You see I have had a grudge against this clan ever since I was born. My father was a Thunderclan warrior. He fell in love with my mother or so she thought and they wanted to have kits. My brother and I were the only two to survive the birthing. He never came to help here in this cold wretched forest. He left us to die. He wanted Nothing to do with Us. Do you know how hard that is for a mother and her kits? We had no father and the clan leader despised our mother but took pity on us and kept us and our father a secret. That is the only reason that Stonestar is leader. No one knows that he is half clan. I have been planning for a season now on my revenge. I could have killed a Thunderclan cat a few times but that would not ruin the clan. I had to strike their heart, and the only way to do that is my hurting you, Sunstream, the medicine cat.", he meowed quietly. He had padded closer to the small medicine cat and was now standing only a mouse length away from her. He could smell that disgusting sweet scent of her golden fur. His tail twitched with annoyance. He peered into her eyes and purred. He knew that she was scared...

At first, Sunstream was puzzled. As the information of the cat's history was related to her, she tilted her head in confusion. "Umm, that's nice and all, but how does that relate to me?" she mewed. Something in the cat's voice made her quake inwardly, and she tucked her tail under her legs. And then, the words came that chilled her heart. She backed up, fear in her amber eyes. "What.. what are you thinking of doing?" She asked, afraid. Then, summoning her strength, she stood up, facing Rumor. "Now listen, I'm a Medicine Cat, and you can't hurt me..." But she saw his eyes again. Those eyes froze her, and really scared her. Her ears flattened, and tried backing up more. But she found herself against a wall. Pressing herself against the wall, she involuntarily let out a small whimper. StarClan, where are you!" [/sup]

Hailstorm purred viciously, "Starclan can't help you now. You are in my paws now, not theirs. I vowed to the world that I would bring Thunderclan down, its time now." He crept up to her again and purred, "This will be easy..." He then attacked her...
(okay well im gonna trail off like that so that well yah...and then he leaves here unconcious i guess, or something like that...u decide...)

Time span like the golden cat's head. The young medicine cat had no idea what time it was, or how long it had been that she was lying there. A few foggy memories flittered through, but like wet soap, they escaped her. She cringed, pain taking over her. Her nostrils flared, flank heaving. Blood...? she thought, her thinking painfully slow. Slowly opening her amber eyes, she saw the blood further down. Oh yes, that. she mewed in her head. The medicine cat couldn't rise, paralyzed by pain and fear, fear; of those eyes. StarClan had deserted her in her time of need. Hopefully, they would guard against Hailstorm's curse. Letting a moan escape her, Sunstream fell down, further into her own mind. [/sup]

The memories came back in fragments. Sharp, painful fragments. Fragments that pierced his very soul, tearing through the gossamer-thin material and leaving it in shreds on his mental floor. And it hurt. It hurt so unbelievably much to see the immobile form of his sister, pressed up against the trunk of a fallen tree, her beautiful golden fur slicked with crimson, and her sparkling amber eyes closed for what the tom feared was forever. And all he could do was stand there, stand and wonder whether it was possible for one’s heart to beat after death. For that was what he felt: Dead. Dead to everything in the world that mattered.
“Leave her alone!” The young tom snarled, stepping between his battered sister and the leader of ShadowClan, his lips peeled back to reveal ivory fangs that glistened cruelly in the pale, ghostly glow of the half moon. “Oh, how valiant,” the leader meowed, his voice dripping with scorn. “Sacrificing yourself to save young Sunpaw. Well, let me be the first to inform you that after you die, she’s next!” And then came the claws, evil claws, arcing through the sky, spattering the night with blood – Moonpaw’s blood.
The tom winced as if he could still feel the gashes from the leader’s claws, still hear the marsh cat’s cruel cackle as he tore Moonpaw’s body again and again and again, and then left him for dead in a pool of his own scarlet blood. And yet he had still been able to rise, rise to protect his sister. But now, when he was perfectly healthy, he had failed to save her. Failed to protect her. And now, she was dead. Dead because he wasn’t there. As the shard of memory receded, another scrap of soul was tossed carelessly to the ground.
But then he saw it. Saw the almost imperceptible rising and falling of her flank that signified she was alive. SunStream was alive! MoonShadow almost exploded with joy. The deputy ran, ran like he had never run before, reaching his unconscious sister in a matter of seconds, nuzzling her ragged pelt, whispering that it would be okay, everything would be okay, that she was safe now.

The sound of pawsteps crashed around her ears, shattering them, shaking her to the bone. She let out a small whimper, her only defense if the ShadowClan warrior came back for her. Fear hammered through her heart as she prepared for the end, much like back in ShadowClan. She was still battered here, but Moonshadow was too late. He wouldn't come. He couldn't save her. Every movement seemed like fighting a thousand rats, pain flowing through her. Her breathing grew fainter as she prepared for the end, for the claws to cut through her stained fur.
But it never came. His sweet scent filled her aching body, the scent of comfort, love, and all things good. The nuzzling felt like rocks dropping on her, but she knew she was safe. There still was a wall between consciousness and herself, but she still felt and knew her brother. Whimpering, the line was crossed, and her brother's love brought her back. She didn't know how long she had been there, how long it had taken, but her eyes slowly opened, and locked onto Moonshadow's. Her eyes were filled with pain, fear, but also comfort. Comfort that her brother was here. [/sup]

{{I don't know if I'm supposed to post here...}}
FLYINGHEART heard the pitiful sounds of battle, she doesn't like battles and it was probably an apprentice and their mentor, but it sounded like her MOONSHADOW, so just to be sure....
When the tabby she-cat got to the battle grounds, she wanted to run, no, no, no. She wanted to hide no, no, no not SUNSTREAM! Running over to the tom, she peered down at the orange lump of blood on the ground. It was too much to bare, it couldn't be true. Never. Never in her wildest nightmare would this have ever happened, but here it was, real and the worst of them all.
"SUNSTREAM?" she whispered gently, whating to find out if she was really awake. FLYINGHEART had seen her wake up, but she needed to find it out for herself.

((Heh heh, I liked my last post with all it's fragmented glory. <3))
MoonShadow let out a purr of relief as SunStream finally opened her eyes. There was no rejoicing or sappy comments - jut a soft rumble to let the medicine cat know how worried her brother was. " Come on sis," the tabby murmured, "let's get you home." ...And then you can tell me what happened, The deputy thought to himself. Not at first of course... She'll tell me when she feels ready. Besides, it's not like I could force her to recount what happened; she's too stubborn! The tabby grinned at this last declaration, and then bent down and gently gasped his sister by the scruff of her neck. He began to pad back to camp, his mouth full of ginger fur, when he noticed FlyingHeart. "Hai FwyinBart" The tom managed to say through his sister's vibrant orange pelt. Beckoning with his til for the warrior to follow he began to pad back to camp, a sense of harmony washing over him as his soul was sewn back together again.

Mistfeather helped Moonshadow pick up his sister. She grabbed the back of her flank so that she was not dragging the ground. "Are wou weady?", she muffled out a small mew. The way that Sunstream looked killed her. She could barely breathe. If she ever saw a Shadowclan cat again, she would be the last to see them. She thought about 'Him' over there. 'The one she loved lived over there', but now she felt nothing but love. He let this happen to Her! He would Pay!
