MoonShadows Gift and BramblePaws Ceremony

Autumnstar eyes flickered open as she looked around her den. She had a nice sleep after training with Mistpaw and letting Bramblepaw join the Clan. She jumped out of her nest, stretching and removing any loss moss that may have caught on her pelt. She then quickly groomed herself, flattening tuffs of fur, before she would address her Clan. The ThunderClan leader finally padded out of her den and looked up to the sky. Moonhigh. She raced over to Highrock and sprang on top of it, getting use to looking down at her Clan. She then sat down calmly and threw her head back and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath Highrock together for a Clan meeting."

MoonShadow leaped nimbly down from one of the many stumps that were sprinkled around the ThunderClan camp, his black-streaked pelt bleached silver in the bright moonshine that illuminated his home. The tabby warrior padded over toward the Highrock and sat down attentively, curling his raven-banded tail around his paws. The warrior then waited patiently to hear what AutumnStar was going to say, his ears pricked and his warm amber eyes gleaming attentively.

Bramblepaw wondered out of the medicine cat den and leaped over to the gathering. He had only been in Thunderclan for a few days now, but was already comfortable around his fellow cats. He loved Thunderclan, to put in just a few words. He looked up at his leader with his big, oval eyes. What now?

[GoldenPaw]

Goldenpaw saw Bramblepaw sitting there. She bounded over to him and sat down next to him. Goldenpaw said "Hello Bramblepaw I wonder what AutumnStar is calling the Clan for. Maybe I will see you later." Goldenpaw walked closer to get a better look.

Hey, Goldenpaw. he walked with her up to the front to see really what this was about. Do you think I will get a mentor now? I hope so. There was no excitment in his voice, but deep inside her was about the burst with curiosity. It did kill the cat, you know.

^{A thin, ginger-pelted medicine cat wove her way delicately through the surrounding branches, and melted beside her brother, Moonshadow. She wrapped her tail around his, and gently asked, "What do you think is going on, Moonshadow?" A native to ShadowClan, the two cats would always feel more at home here, where they could leave the oppressing marshes behind.}

[Silverpaw]

Silverkit had been playing with a bit of moss when she heard Autumnstars call. Squeaking with excitement she tumbled out of the nursery and ran over to where the other cats were. Spotting Bramblepaw she ran over and sat next to him, her pelt quivering in excitement.

"Hey Bramblepaw!"she squeaked.

MoonShadow let out a warm purr of welcome as his sister approached him. He let SunStream twine her tail with his, her ginger fur even more vivid than usual when it was placed against his dappled coat of black and white.

"What do you think is going on, Moonshadow?"

The tabby tom shrugged, his ebony-streaked pelt rippling as he moved his shoulders. "She's probably formally accepting BramblePaw into the Clan," He meowed. "After all, he doesn't have a mentor yet. I wonder who it will be?"

-Pretending I was your mentor-

Autumnstar watched her Clan assemble and took a deep breath before continuing. "Today, we are welcoming a new member of our Clan. Welcome Bramblepaw. This Moonhigh, we gather together to name Bramblepaw an official apprentice of ThunderClan. From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, you will be mentored by MoonShadow. Moonshadow, I was you mentor and I hope that my skills and wisdom will pass through you to your new apprentice." She then paused to let her Clan congratulate the new apprentice.

Bramblepaw looked around in awe. Moonshadow. He walked over to his new mentor and purred. The deputy would be his mentor. That's the best thing he could have wished for. And now he was an offical member of Thunderclan. The large tom would remember this day forever.

^{The small ginger she-cat gently nudged her brother up to the great rock. "GO, you great lump!" she mewed, laughing, as her brother sat there. Purring, she turned her head to the large tabby apprentice. It's about time he got a mentor! She thought. Sunstream couldn't lie that she didn't know that her brother would be a mentor, but she also didn't have to tell.}

Mistpaw had been watching this from the apprentices den where she had come from. Now she was bouncing with joy. Bramblepaw finally had a mentor. She ran up to Bramblepaw to congradulate and brushed Goldenpaw's pelt on the way, motioning for her to come as well. "Congradulations Bramblepaw!!!", she purred in delight.

[Silverpaw]

Silverkit let out a squeak of excitement at the news. Running towards Bramblepaw she skid into his huge side.

"Sorry!"she squeaked. "Congradulations Bramblepaw! Now your just like all the other apprentices!"

Bramblepaw waited for his mentor to talk, but as he did so, he turned to talk to all the other cats. He smiled warmly at Silverkit and Mistpaw. The large tom laughed as Silverkit ran into him. It's ok. he purred, excepting all the congradulations with another grin.

Silverkit started bouncing around in her excitement.

"If you become a warrior before i'm an apprentice can you be my mentor?"she asked.

She slowly started settling down as all the excitement slowly went away.
